The Cantina Coppola is one of the most ancient wineries of all Apulia with a tradition that belongs to the 15th century, when is documented the ancestors of the actual owners started producing wine. Located nearby Gallipoli, the place is the result of innovative architectonic concepts, passion and history. Their wines are one of the finest expressions of what our territory can offer. With the private tour of the Cantina, you will also have the opportunity to have a light lunch of local products, taste the oil the family Coppola produces and the opportunity to visit the city of Gallipoli before leaving the area.

Lecce is the City of Barocco, famous in the world for its art and its incredible architecture. Products and local tastes are ready to be discovered by our dear guests. The Experience starts at 9:00 / 9.30 am with a visit to the historical Porta Rudiae’s market, a small treasure trove of all the goods our land has to offer. There we will buy fresh basil and some vegetables which will be the base for one of the next stops. The second part will let you savour the real Caffè Leccese and the Pasticciotto in one of the historic cafè of Lecce, such as Martinica, Paisiello or Alvino, based on their availability.
Next, you will taste the typical Rustico Leccese, one of the cornerstones of the City street food, an explosion of tomato sauce, juicy mozzarella in tasty puff pastry. Our last stop will be at our winery of choice, where you will enjoy a Caprese salad with fresh organic ingredients, the amazing D.O.P. Capocollo (a cold cut of cured pork neck), “polpette” (meatballs) and our traditional meat rolls, the “bombette pugliesi”. At the same time you will have an informal wine tasting of high quality Organic Negramaro wine (Menone or equivalent) and a local Rosè, while discovering the history, flavours and trivia of wine production here in Apulia.
Find your inner gourmand with our delicious food and drink experiences. Learn how to prepare sensational orecchiette and pasta at a cooking lesson. Guided by our chef, you will be accompanied in the world of "homemade" Salento cuisine. You will learn the ancient techniques used by our "Nonne" to make pasta like orecchiette and ravioli. Following the instructions of our chef, you will be able to make with your own hands the recipes of the Apulian "poor cuisine".
Gianna strongly recommends her Cooking Class to fully enjoy a complete experience in all its steps, from raw materials to the table. The goal of the course is to blend flavors and traditions with competence, professionalism and empathy where those who choose to prepare a dish aspires to assess their essence through real and unique moments.
We will taste together the dishes prepared around a convivial table in conjunction with Apulian wines. Gianna will be happy to guide you in a technical tasting of selected wines. We will be happy to send via email all the recipes of the dishes prepared, so you can easily replicate them at home.
