The Orient Occident Fondation in Rabat
The Orient-Occident Foundation is also a must for any visitors to the region. Now in its 30th year, it is a vibrant place for initiatives and events, including photography exhibitions, artwork displays, craft workshops, markets for local producers and music and dance performances. Created to foster integration and intercultural dialogue, it also hosts the Migrants du Monde embroidery and sewing workshop, where Moroccan women with migrant and refugee backgrounds make beautiful clothes and accessories.

The Grand Théâtre reopening
Located on the Bou Regreg River, the Grand Théâtre de Rabat is the largest theatre in Africa and the Arab world. Designed by renowned architect Zaha Hadid, the theatre is shaped like a wave and features a 1,800-seat hall, an open-air amphitheatre that can hold up to 7,000 people and an experimental rehearsal space. It’s also home to a restaurant that can accommodate 350 people and has beautiful green areas, workshops and a library. As part of its reopening, it will host orchestral performances, ballets, operas and concerts.
