This summer, the 17th edition of the SEI Festival will bring a host of popular names to venues based in the castles and palaces of Salento. The festival hosts a range of genres, from punk to singer-songwriter and rock to ska, as well as electronic music and acts from Italy’s contemporary music scene.
A festival highlight, Thurston Moore, a legend of alternative music and co-founder of Sonic Youth, will play on the 16th of July in the Moat of the Castello Volante di Corigliano d'Otranto. The same venue will host more acts across three days, taking place between 27th - 29th of July.
Other performances include "My Nirvana" by cellist Redi Hasa on August 6th in Castor, the Fuera trio at KORA on August 7th and Goran Bregovic and his ska-jazz ensemble on August 11th at Melpignano, eleven years after he performed as Maestro Concatatore at the Notte della Taranta.
