It is the Historical Archive of the Municipality of Lecce, housed in the evocative Agostiniani complex, where the city’s memory comes to life in new and surprising ways. Among ancient parchments and digitized documents, a centuries-long story unfolds, speaking of people, work, traditions, and change. Not just an archive, but a living narrative capable of engaging citizens, students, and visitors.

Here, the Holographic Theatre also takes shape: three-dimensional images emerge in space, giving form to forgotten stories. Among them, “Preghiera alla Santa” recounts the transition from Saint Irene to Saint Oronzo as the city’s patron saint, intertwining research and performance. Among the most precious treasures, the “Libro Rosso” preserves over five centuries of civic life: privileges, memories, identities. A heritage saved and restored to the present.
