Alchimie: where wine becomes art

When the world of art meets that of wine, an experience is born that engages all the senses.

ALCHIMIE is the new exhibition series conceived by Tenute Rubino in Brindisi: an immersive journey in which contemporary sculpture, light and landscape enter into dialogue with the slow passage of time in the barrel cellar.

From 20 December 2025 to 19 September 2026, four appointments will transform the panoramic corridor overlooking the barrels into a suspended space, rich in silence, aromas and creative ferment. Not a simple exhibition, but a sensory journey where art and oenology share gestures, waiting and transformation.

Curated by Ilaria Caravaglio, the series grants each artist the freedom to imagine and shape their own exhibition environment, blending works and architecture into a unique narrative. The journey opens with Renzo Buttazzo, master of Lecce stone, whose archaic and vibrant sculptures seem to emerge from the heart of the earth, resonating with the breath of wine as it matures. His works will be on view until 30 January.

The following chapters will feature Gianluca Marinelli and his ceramics (20/2–3/4), Riccardo Masini with his wooden sculptures (24/4–5/6), and paper artist Daniele Papuli (26/6–19/9): four visions, four materials, four interpretations of the metamorphosis of matter.

Each exhibition will be accompanied by a dedicated tasting, deepening the dialogue between artwork and glass. ALCHIMIE is an invitation to slow down, observe and savour. To be surprised by a place that changes and by an art form that, like wine, lives through time, care and transformation.
